Below is the recipe for category 14 of the Home Baking section.
Ingredients
3oz (75g) porage oats
4oz (110g) plain flour, sifted
3oz (75g) sugar
1 tsp baking powder
4oz (110g) margarine
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp baking sodaMethod
Preheat oven to 200 C, 180 C for Fan oven, 400 F, Gas mark 6
- Begin by mixing the porage oats, flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
- In a saucepan, stir the remaining three ingredients over a gentle heat until the margarine is melted. Then pour these into the bowl and mix well.
- Now, using teaspoonfuls of the mixture, roll into balls and flatten.
- Place these on greased and lined baking trays, spacing them out well to allow for expansion in the oven.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking trays.
